Firefighters and paramedics from the Flatlands Volunteer Ambulance Corps fitted a motorist for a back brace on June 10 following a Mill Basin car accident that sparked a terrifying tumble for both the driver and the mini-van he was seated in.
The victim told police he was operating a blue minivan past the corner of East 64th Street and Avenue T at 2:30 pm when it was struck by a luxury car.
The minivan somersaulted repeatedly before landing right side up on the sidewalk.
The rattled driver, who remained conscious throughout the entire ordeal, was rushed to Kings County Hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported.
