Small craft advisory at the handmade calvalcade in Greenpoint

From clocks made out of bingo cards to card cases adorned with images of the Brooklyn Bridge and the Cyclone, the borough’s ingenuity will be on full display this month.

On April 24, the Spring Handmade Cavalcade takes over Berry Bar in Greenpoint, featuring a selection of goods made by local artists for the second year running.

“We’re featuring some of our best and brightest craftspeople in this event,” said Karin Persan, lead coordinator of the event.

The organizers have also remembered Earth Day in their curation by including sustainably — and locally — made housewares, paper goods, accessories and toys, such as Windows of Agate’s one-of-a-kind, vintage-inspired dogs, made using recycled and natural materials.

Don’t miss the decorative items from designers like PurtyBird, who dabbles in bird-themed art and decor to spruce up your space, including hand-painted, mini birds adorned with flowers. They didn’t call this the spring cavalcade for nothing.

The Spring Handmade Cavalcade at Berry Park [4 Berry St. at Nassau Avenue in Greenpoint], April 24, 10 am-5 pm. Free admission. For info, visit www.handmadecavalcade.com.
