Formula for theft
An intruder broke into an Avenue U store and stole baby formula, M&M’s, and tropical Skittles on Sept. 9.
The bandit took the items from the basement stockroom of the store near Bragg Street at 7:40 pm, police said.
Piano prowler
A nogoodnik broke into a store on Kings Highway and ransacked the place overnight on Sept. 9, but didn’t steal anything.
The intruder entered the store near E. 18th Street through the rear window during business hours and wedged a piano bench under the front door’s lock at 6:30 pm, according to police.
Small-change stabber
A man stabbed another man over $5 on Coyle Street on Sept. 10.
Police say the victim was near Avenue U at 9 pm when a man approached him and demanded he give him $5. When the victim refused, the lout stabbed the victim in his left hand and fled towards Avenue V, according to authorities.
The victim was taken to Coney Island Hospital for treatment, police reported.
Bank machine attack
A group of brutes beat up by a man, causing bruising to his face and shoulder, and stole his money and gold chains on Kings Highway on Sept. 10.
The victim was withdrawing money from a bank machine near E. Fourth Street at 4:30 pm when the group approached him and they all got into a verbal dispute, cops said.
The men punched and kicked the victim multiple times and then took the two chains from his neck and $160 from his pocket, according to the report.
