The 4 train takes a holiday and the N train creates a few headaches this holiday weekend. Read on for all the news that affects your plans. (Saturday, July 2 at 12:01 am to Monday, July 4 at 5 am unless otherwise noted):
4: No trains between Brooklyn Bridge in Manhattan and Utica Avenue. Use the N or Q trains for service from Manhattan to Atlantic-Pacific streets. For service from Fulton to Utica avenues, take the 3 train, which stops at Utica Avenue.
F: Manhattan-bound trains skip Smith-Ninth Street (all times).
G: No trains between Hoyt-Schermerhorn Street and Church Avenue through July 4. For Coney Island-bound service, take the A train from Hoyt-Schermerhorn to Jay Street-Metrotech and transfer to the F. The A train also connects Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Jay Street-Metrotech.
N: Coney Island-bound trains run on the D from 36th Street to Stillwell Avenue and run local from DeKalb Avenue to 36th Street. Manhattan-bound trains run local from 59th Street to DeKalb Avenue. For 45th, 53rd and 59th streets, take the R instead.
Q: Manhattan-bound trains skip avenues M and H.
