Assemblyman Hakeem Jeffries kicked off “Operation Preserve,” a new legal clinic to battle the displacement of working-class families from Fort Greene, Clinton Hill and Prospect Heights.

“The displacement of low- and moderate-income residents from our community is not a black issue or a white issue, it is all about the color green,” said Jeffries (D–Fort Greene). “This must end, and it must end now.”

The clinic will be staffed on Thursday and Friday evenings by attorneys from the CUNY Community Legal Resource Network.
