Police are searching for a pair of punks who allegedly robbed a Gravesend store on April 8 and assaulted an employee who tried to stop them.
The alleged incident occurred at the 86th Street store between W. Eighth and W. Ninth streets at around 2:30 p.m, when the duo entered the store and one of them grabbed two bottles of soda and two bottles of juice and tried to leave without paying, according to authorities.
A male employee approached the thief outside, prompting his buddy to strike the clerk in the head with glass bottles, which allegedly caused bleeding and abrasions, police said. The pair then fled the scene on foot, according to authorities.

Paramedics transported the man to Coney Island Hospital, where he was treated and released, according to officers.
Cops describe the men as between 25 and 30 years old, with brown eyes, black hair, facial hair, and a medium build, adding that they were last seen wearing black jackets, black shirts, black pants, and black shoes.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577–8477. The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577. All tips are strictly confidential.
