Students hold all the strings to puppet parade

Drizzle didn’t dampen the spirit of students from Saint Ann’s School, who transformed Brooklyn Heights into marionette heaven for their annual puppet parade.

The annual spring spectacle had Lower School pupils prancing life-sized masterpieces they created in teacher Ronnie Asbell’s art class through the neighborhood, with their peers cheering them on from the sidelines.

With musical accompaniment from budding drummers and guitarists, the art-smart troupe stepped off the stroll outside the school building, 129 Pierrepont Street, and ambled along Clinton and Montague streets to the promenade, where they drew wowed the crowd before heading back to class.
