Approximately 400,000 Americans are living with multiple sclerosis (MS), and each week 200 additional individuals are diagnosed. New York Methodist Hospital is offering a free support group for individuals diagnosed with MS in the past two years.
The Multiple Sclerosis Newly Diagnosed Support Group offers information and a place to begin to discuss concerns, experiences and resources.
The group will meet weekly for four weeks on Thursdays, beginning May 1, from 7-8:30 p.m. The meetings will take place in the hospital’s Spine and Arthritis Center on the second floor of the Medical Office Pavilion, 263 Seventh Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
