Suspected EMT killer murdered in Parade Grounds

A Crown Heights man suspected of murdering notorious city rescue worker Jason Green was killed last Wednesday night at the Parade Grounds on Parkside Avenue.

Julio Locarno, 23, was a suspect in the July 18 murder of Green, who was shot twice after the two argued over a parking spot in front of a Manhattan nightclub.

Police responding to reports of gunshots at the Parade Grounds at 10:40 pm on March 23 found Locarno lying in a pathway to the park with several gunshot wounds to his head and torso. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Kings County Hospital.

Cops said Monday they have no leads, but the investigation is ongoing.

The news adds a new twist to an already tragic tale that began on Dec. 9, 2009 when Green and fellow EMT Melissa Jackson allegedly stood idly by as Eutisha Revee Rennix, a six-month pregnant 25-year-old from East Flatbush, suffered an asthma attack and died outside a restaurant Downtown.

Rennix died after being rushed to an area hospital, and her unborn child died a short time later.

An autopsy determined the asthma attack caused Rennix’s death.

Locarno’s lawyer, Mitchell Elman, called the murder a “tragedy,” but wouldn’t to comment further.

A neighbor in Locarno’s Albany Avenue apartment building who wished to remain anonymous said someone had set up a memorial with candles in the fake fireplace in the lobby in remembrance of Locarno.

Since Rennix’s death, trouble has also found Green’s partner, Jackson, who was busted for shoplifting at a Long Island Target in October. She is also facing misconduct charges for her alleged role in the death of Rennix.
