Pratt Institute exhibits “Present Things,” a site-specific installation of photographs by Switzerland-based artist Katalin Deér, at Pratt Media Arts Gallery, now to September 13.
Deér will also lecture on her work at the Media Arts Gallery, September 11 at 3 p.m. The exhibition and lecture are free and open to the public.
The exhibition expresses Deér’s engagement with photographic materiality and sculpture in relation to architecture. The installation will include 20 unframed photographs directly mounted on walls and panels within the gallery, designed to highlight the curious lived-in qualities of architectural structures.
Pratt Institute is in the Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn. For more, visit www.pratt.edu or call 718-636-3554. Gallery Hours are Thursday-Saturday, 1-5 p.m.
