Teens steal pricey headphones, but cops nab them later

78th Precinct

Beats thieves lose

Police arrested two teenagers suspected of stealing headphones from a 20-year-old man in a Prospect Park West robbery on Oct. 25.

The victim told police he was between 13th and 14th streets at 10:58 pm, when the teen duo wrestled the $300 Beats headphones off his head and fled.

Patrolmen spotted the two suspects later that night, and the victim identified them as his attackers, cops said.

Two-wheeled crook

A thief stole a man’s rental bike he left on Fifth Avenue on Oct. 21.

The victim told police he parked his CitiBike between 10th and 11th streets as he headed into a nearby shop at 6 pm, and returned 15 minutes to find the Citibank-sponsored rental stolen.

High ride

Some punks took a man’s ’97 Ford for a joy ride along Prospect Place on Oct. 24.

The victim told police he left his 20-year-old sedan between Sixth and Flatbush avenues at 8:25 am, and returned the next morning to find that it had vanished overnight.

Lucky for him, the car was spotted further up the road outside 1014 Prospect Place, albeit double-parked and with its windows smashed out, cops said.

Jacked

A carjacker made off with a man’s 2013 Subaru he had parked on President Street on Oct. 27.

The victim told police he left his car between Fourth and Fifth avenues at 12:15 pm, and that he returned the following morning to find it stolen.

The car, according to the victim, may have been unlocked, and he kept a set of spare keys in the glove box, cops said.
