Coney Island residents — now’s your chance to make your voices heard.
Community Board 13 is currently accepting suggestions for its goals for the next term, which begins in the fall.
“Now, again, is your opportunity to offer personal views as to which needs are most important to your well-being, the well-being of your family and your community,” Community Board 13 Chair Marion Cleaver and District Manager Chuck Reichenthal wrote in a letter to community residents.
In previous years, the board’s priorities have included getting the boardwalk repaired and more lifeguards hired in Coney Island and Brighton Beach.
Brooklynites living within the confines of Community Board 13, which spans Coney Island, Brighton Beach, Gravesend, Homecrest and Sea Gate, can send their suggestions to the board office no later than August 29.
Public hearings will follow in the fall about the suggestions. The community board will then compile a list of priorities and send them to the city for budget consideration.
To submit suggestions, contact Community Board 13 at 718-266-3001.
