The best damn sandwich on Twitter!

The owners of Court Street Grocers in Carroll Gardens have a secret — but you’ll need to check your Twitter feed to find out what it is.

Each Sunday, Matt Ross and Eric Finkelstein will debut a new “mystery” sandwich, available as an eat-in option only.

The contents of the secret sammy will only be divulged on the day of its creation, via Twitter and Facebook.

It’s a sweet marketing ploy; last Sunday’s inaugural sandwich — house made porchetta with broccoli rabe and pecorino, served on pizza bianco — was requested more than 15 times by 3 pm, despite its hefty $15 price tag.

“It’s undoubtedly more expensive than most of what we offer, or plan on offering,” admitted Finkelstein. “But we wanted to do something really special to kick this off, and between the labor and cost of ingredients for porchetta, we’ll just break even.”

Customer Andrew Guagliardo, who works at Buttermilk Channel across the street, didn’t have any buyer’s remorse.

“Obviously I couldn’t spend $15 on a sandwich every day, but this one is worth the splurge,” he said. “It’s really delicious, and you can’t find suckling pig just anywhere.”

You won’t necessarily find it on Court Street Grocer’s regular menu either, but that’s because the owners have plenty of other top-secret sandwiches to debut.

“We’re looking forward to putting out something new every Sunday for the next couple of months,” revealed Finkelstein. “Mostly regional American-type sandwiches. Some warm-weather sandwiches too.”

If you want more details than that, better check Twitter.
