Fake out

Three villains faked being cops and threatened a guy with a knife to steal his phone in Mellett Playground on E. 13th Street on Sept. 3, officials said.

The 36-year-old victim told police he was sitting on a bench in the park near Avenue V a little before midnight when the trio of villains came to him, shined a flashlight in his face, and said “We are the police.” The guy started walking away but the curs again said “We are the police, we need to see ID,” according to authorities. A second malefactor then grabbed the victim from behind and held a knife to his left side and said “Give me everything you have,” officials said. The victim coughed up his Samsung phone and the three worms fled, police said.

Big bite

Two crooks swiped a bunch of products from an Ocean Avenue drug store on Sept. 5, police said.

A passerby spotted the pair leaving the store near Avenue Z with baby formula and beauty products at about 2 pm and when he went to stop them, the female nogoodnik bit him on the left shoulder, according to authorities. The duo ran off with the stuff worth $416, officials said.

Record raider

Some baddie swiped a woman’s jewelry and bank records from her Avenue V home on Aug. 25, police said.

The 52-year-old woman told police she left her home at about 9 am and when she returned at 3:30, noticed the punk had broken in and stolen her wedding band, bracelet, and bank books, according to authorities.

Costly vacation

A lout broke into a guy’s Falmouth Street home and stole thousands of dollars in pricey jewelry and bags while he was on vacation from Sept. 1 to Sept. 4, police said.

The guy told police when he returned to his home, near Oriental Boulevard, her realized the criminal had broken in through a side window and swiped an expensive sapphire studded watch and Chanel, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton handbags, according to authorities.

Tool thief

A sneak thief stole a generator and tools from a man’s garage outside his E. 24th Street home sometime overnight on Sept. 4, police said.

The homeowner told police the knave broke through the garage door and ran off with the generator and numerous tools sometime between 6 pm and 11:15 am the next morning.

Luxury looter

A good-for-nothing broke into a guy’s house on Bedford Avenue and stole thousands of dollars worth of clothes and bags on Sept. 9, police said.

The victim told police that before he left his home near Avenue Y at about 9:45 pm, his alarm system alerted him that the rear window in his basement was open. When he went downstairs to check, he heard the purloiner flee the house through the window. He told investigators the thief had taken a black Chanel tote bag, a gold Jimmy Choo clutch, and Denmark mink coats.
