An opportunistic robber attacked a guy who was on a CitiBike on Bedford Avenue on Sept. 30, and stole his bag.
The victim told police he was about to return his bike to the stand near Metropolitan Avenue at 10:35 pm, and when he bent over, the robber threw him off his bike, and grabbed his bag out of the rack. His bag contained his laptop, camera, and charger.
Choke
A pair of robbers grabbed a guy in a chokehold and stole his iPhone on Franklin Avenue on Sept. 30.
The victim told police that he was near Willoughby Avenue at 10:48 pm when a man grabbed him from behind, and lifted him off the ground with a powerful chokehold. The second robber grabbed his phone out of his pocket and the duo ran off.
Saved by the headphones
A woman managed to save her iPhone from a robber who was trying to pull it out of her pocket on N. Sixth Street on Oct. 2.
The victim told police that she was near Roebling Street at 10 pm when a man lunged at her and grabbed her phone. The woman struggled with her attacker and it fell out of his hand because it was still attached to the headphones.
