Thieves break into CityMD

A pair of thieves broke into an Atlantic Avenue CityMD on May 17.

Police responded to a report of a commercial burglary at about 3 am and found the front door of the urgent care near Nevins Street had been pried open. They searched the building, but found it empty — but footage captured two men using a crowbar to pry open the front door of the building and a cash register inside — which was empty.

The jerks ran off after discovering there was no money to steal.

Rogue driving recklessly

A rogue allegedly hit a police officer and endangered pedestrians on Atlantic Avenue on May 21.

Cops said an officer was operating a traffic safety checkpoint at the intersection of Third Avenue when one officer observed the driver of a 2004 Toyota driving unsafely. When he waved the driver into the checkpoint, the menace allegedly intentionally struck the officer, then tried to speed off, endangering pedestrians nearby.

Additional officers were called and apprehended the man nearby. Upon his arrest, police also found a loaded pistol in the jerk’s car.

Musical marauder

Some marauder stole a guitar from a Flatbush Avenue bank on May 21.

The victim told police walked into the Bank of America near State Street at about 5 pm and set his $2,800 acoustic guitar on the ground for a few minutes while he threw away some trash. When he walked back over, the instrument had disappeared.
