Fittings are free at Iris Lingerie — and owner Iris Clarke’s got an extensive array of low- to high-end lingerie to choose from. But in the meantime, here are Clarke’s top-three tips for finding the perfect undergarment:
• For better support and comfort, go bigger on the cup size and smaller on the back band. The band offers 70 percent of the support, so it should be snug and fall below your shoulder blades.
• For that extra dose of cleavage, don’t let the bottom wire of your bra hang on your tummy — buy a bra that hugs the bottom of your breast.
• There are different bras for different looks: take T-shirt bras, dress bras, and even seasonal bras into account if you want to “look good in the workplace, and feel good everywhere,” Clarke said.
