Thieves broke into a Ralph Avenue tire shop on Nov. 2, taking several tools.
Workers said the shop near Preston Court was closed at 7:30 pm when the suspects forced open the back door.
iPhone grabs
Several iPhones were stolen in the area last week. Here’s what happened:
• A thief snagged an iPhone out of a woman’s hand on Oct. 31 as she walked down Veterans Avenue.
The victim was nearing E. 70th Street at 3:20 pm when the thief ran by her, grabbed the Smartphone, and escaped in an awaiting green Nissan Maxima.
• A goon jumped a 38-year-old woman on E. 58th Street on Oct. 31, taking her iPhone.
The victim was nearing Avenue T when the thief attacked and ran off with her prized possession.
• An 18-year-old thief grabbed an iPhone out of a 27-year-old woman’s hand on Avenue H.
The theft took place at 3:30 pm near Utica Avenue, officials said.
Window breaker
A thief broke into a home on E. 54th Street on Nov. 2, taking an assortment of electronics.
The homeowner, who lives between Foster Avenue and Glenwood Road, said that the thief smashed the front window sometime after 9 am in order to get inside.
Apartment raid
A crook broke into a Schnectady Avenue apartment on Nov. 4, taking $540, some electronics, and a bunch of clothes.
Cops said they were not sure just how the thief got inside the home, located near Avenue M, but the break-in took place sometime after 5:30 pm.
Cabin looted
A thief forced his way into a car parked on E. 37th Street on Oct. 28 and removed a gym bag containing an assortment of credit cards.
The victim left his car parked near Flatlands Avenue at 6:30 pm. When he returned a few hours later, the car was unlocked and his bag was missing.
Jacket raid
A thief rummaged through a man’s jacket pockets inside a Kings Highway store on Nov. 1, taking an assortment of credit cards.
The victim, who works in the store near E. 33rd Street, said he started work at 9 am. When he returned to his jacket at the end of the day, the pockets were empty.
