Workers joined Forest City Ratner Chairman and CEO Bruce Ratner, Borough President Marty Markowitz and union leaders in Fort Greene for a “topping out” ceremony at 80 DeKalb Ave. to celebrate the completion of concrete work on the 335,000−square−foot residential building.
The 34−story tower, located on the stretch between Hudson Avenue and Rockwell Place, will include 73 affordable rental units and 292 market−rate apartments, making it the first 80⁄20 development in Brooklyn, financed with bonds issued by the New York State Housing Finance Agency.
