The star was a 9,000−pound bucket of concrete, hoisted 400 feet up in the air.

Workers joined Forest City Ratner Chairman and CEO Bruce Ratner, Borough President Marty Markowitz and union leaders in Fort Greene for a “topping out” ceremony at 80 DeKalb Ave. to celebrate the completion of concrete work on the 335,000−square−foot residential building.

The 34−story tower, located on the stretch between Hudson Avenue and Rockwell Place, will include 73 affordable rental units and 292 market−rate apartments, making it the first 8020 development in Brooklyn, financed with bonds issued by the New York State Housing Finance Agency.
