The Second Annual Red Hook Track and Field Carnival and Road Race will be held on May 16, 17, and 18.
Join the Red Hook community for a weekend celebration of track and field.
On May 16, from 5 – 9 p.m., they will offer free health screenings, and a jump & throw clinic at St. Francis College, 180 Remsen Street.
Then on May 17, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., there will be track and field events at Red Hook Park.
They will continue on May 18, with youth track events and awards.
New Yorkers of all ages will walk, jog and run around the waterfront stadium and park areas.
Youngsters can also compete in track and field events on the Red Hook Track; an eight-lane 400m track, including a runway for the long jump, hurdles and high jump.
The second annual Red Hook Track and Field Carnival and Road Race is sponsored by the Parks Department, Long Island College Hospital, Xavier High School, St. Ann’s, Brooklyn Friends, Packer, Red Hook Rise, Royale Sports, Forest Ratner and the M&D Nursery.
