Shot on Schenectady
A trigger-happy gunman killed one man and wounded another during a March 21 confrontation on Schenectady Avenue.
Witnesses said the gunman opened fire on his two victims between Church and Snyder avenues at 5:25 pm, hitting a 23-year-old in the leg and chest. The 23-year-old was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where he died. The second man, 36, was shot in the leg and was listed in stable condition.
Cops are asking anyone with information regarding this shooting to come forward.

DNA angels
A Jan. 3 break-in at St. Jerome’s school on E. 29th Street has been solved — thanks to a saintly criminologist.
Police said someone broke into the parochial school, which is between Newkirk and Foster avenues, sometime after 8:50 am by shattering several classroom windows.
Once inside, the thief emptied a jar of cash collected for a religious donation, leaving several drops of blood in its place.
The criminologist ran the blood through the state’s criminal DNA database, connecting it to a 38-year-old thief who was arrested on March 21 on burglary charges.
Attacked with broom
A 21-year-old was arrested on March 20 for attacking another man with a broom on Church Avenue — leaving his victim with a deep wound that needed 11 staples to close.
Police said the two were arguing near E. 35th Street at 3:50 am on March 6 when the suspect grabbed the broom and attacked.
Nabbed for robbery
A 21-year-old man was arrested on March 21 after holding another man up at gunpoint on Caton Avenue.
The victim was between Kenmore Place and Flatbush Avenue at 9:04 pm when the thief approached and flashed his gun.
The thief grabbed his victim’s Louis Vitton wallet and ran off — but didn’t get far. Cops apprehended the thief and recovered the firearm a short time later.
Targeting registers
A Flatbush Junction Target cashier was arrested on March 22 for pocketing money from her cash register — and hiding it in her bra.
Security personnel at the anchor of the Triangle mall, which is at the corner of Nostrand and Flatbush avenues, told police they had the 19-year-old employee taking money from her till on videotape.
The theft, they say, took place on Feb. 21.
Nostrand raid
Three thieves beat a Nostrand Avenue grocer with a metal scooter during a March 19 raid.
The victim told police that he was inside the store, which is between Avenues I and J, at 6:50 pm when the thieves came in and started pocketing a number of items.
The worker tried to stop the thefts, but one of the thieves struck him with the scooter.
Taxi rob
Two gun-toting thieves robbed a cab driver on March 19 during a furious altercation on E. 55th Street.
The driver told police that he was between Glenwood Road and Avenue H when the two suspects approached and flashed a silver firearm.
The thieves then opened the door, snagged the driver’s cellphone, and ran off.
Left in trunk
Cops made a gruesome discovery on E. 52nd Street on March 9 — the remains of a young couple who had disappeared from Plainfield, NJ stuffed in the trunk of a Nissan.
Police said that they were called to the location at 7:15 pm and found the victims during a search of the car, which was parked near Snyder Avenue, and was the same make and model the couple was seen in before they disappeared.
A Medical Examiner had not released how the couple had died by late Tuesday.
