Two sought in borough robbery spree

Eight robberies committed in Canarsie, Sheepshead Bay, Mill Basin, downtown Brooklyn and Manhattan are believed to be the work of just two men, area cops said this week.

Now, with video surveillance images of the two men, cops are hoping to track down and arrested the dastardly duo before they wreck any more havoc.

Officials said that the two gunmen have cut a swath through Brooklyn and Manhattan in robberies dating to April 20.

Police said that the last robbery the brazen thieves committed was at 4 a.m. on May 13, when they robbed the McDonald’s at 1467 Rockaway Parkway.

In each of the robberies, the thieves would enter the store or eatery with guns drawn and demand that the person behind the counter hand over all of their cash and cigarettes.

No injuries had been reported in any of these heists; all of which took place between 1 and 5 a.m. officials said.

Police said that the spree began at 4:10 a.m. on Sunday, April 20 when the two thieves raided a 7-11 at 2247 Utica Avenue in Mill Basin.

They followed up that heist by robbing another 7-Eleven, this one at 3342 Nostrand Avenue in Sheepshead Bay, on the morning of April 23, officials said.

The 7-11 pattern was shaken up just an hour later when the two thieves were seen robbing the CVS Pharmacy at 4901 Kings Highway in Flatlands, officials said.

Three days later, the thieves robbed Cho’s Grocery on Carmine Street in Greenwich Village, according to police.

The thieves reportedly hit another Manhattan grocery on April 29 before going back to Brooklyn, where they robbery a grocery at 404 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn Heights on May 10.

Following some kind of criminal schedule, the thieves resurfaced three days later, robbing a grocery at 1020 Coney Island Avenue on the morning of May 13, officials said. The Canarsie McDonalds was robbed an hour later.

Police described one of the two men as a 5’10”, 185 pound black male. His accomplice is also a black male, between 5’8” and 5’10” and between 180 and 200 pounds.

Cops are asking anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of these two thieves to come forward.
