R Here, a create your own performance adventure presented by Artichoke Dance Company, will be held June 14 and 15, at 2 p.m. (rain dates June 21 and June 22 at 2 p.m.) at JJ Byrne Park in Park Slope, Fifth Avenue between Third and Fourth streets.
Download the music of 12 composers and a map of the performance locations, or obtain a map at JJ Byrne Park and rent a preloaded Mp3 player and then go.
Each performance begins with a group dance by ten performers in the park. The performers then disperse to five satellite locations located along or near Fifth Avenue between Fourth and Union streets, where duets are performed repeatedly for one hour.
The audience tours to the various locations in no prescribed order and chooses the music that accompanies each dance episode. The performance culminates in an additional group section back in JJ Byrne Park.
This event is free. Mp3 player rentals will be available for $10 at The Old Stone House in JJ Byrne Park.
Player rental begins at 1:30 p.m. and is first come, first rented.
