Brooklyn Center
for the Performing Arts is inviting the public to join them for
a free performance by the United States Army Field Band and Soldiers’
Chorus the day before Veteran’s Day, on Nov. 10 at 7:30 pm.
Under the direction of maestro Col. Finley Hamilton, the orchestra
will perform classical selections, choral arrangements, Broadway
favorites and patriotic tunes such as "The Stars and Stripes
Forever," "Armed Forces Salute" and "God
Bless America."
Tickets are free and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served
basis; however, donations will be accepted that evening for World
Trade Center relief efforts. Call the box office (718) 951-4500
prior to Nov. 10 to reserve your tickets.
The event will take place in the Walt Whitman Theater on Brooklyn
College’s campus, one block from the junction of Flatbush and
Nostrand avenues. The box office is open Tuesdays through Saturdays,
1 to 6 pm.
