Bike New York will present its 31st annual tour, May 4, which draws 30,000 cyclists of all ages.
The 42-mile route begins in Manhattan’s Battery Park, passes through all five boroughs of New York City on traffic-free streets, and ends with a festival on Staten Island at Fort Wadsworth in Gateway National Recreation Area.
Bike New York needs more than 1,500 adult volunteers on the day of the race. Volunteer jobs range from rider assistance in Battery Park to working in rest areas along the route and at the festival on Staten Island or, if you ride a bike, assisting with traffic control as a marshal along the route.
Volunteers are also needed in the office prior to the event. You can be assured of a fun-filled day and where else can volunteers meet 30,000 people and get a free T-shirt, baseball hat and lunch?
Don’t miss it
