New Miss Brooklyn Christina Moore was the cat’s meow when she put on the dog and headed to Kensington this Halloween to be a part of a canine-themed benefit for an animal mission.
The beauty queen found herself sharing the spotlight with a bevy of wag-tastic tail-waggers who came dressed to impress for the Howl-oween Block Bark Party coordinated by Sean Casey Animal Rescue on Sunday outside its office on E. Third Street, off Caton Avenue, where costumed critters strutted their stuff and woofed up a storm in hopes of winning the hearts of pet lovers during the animal adoption event — with a mobile van from the North Shore Animal League inking the deal.
There were games and activities for the whole family and Fido held court in spook-nificent style. Some of our faves included Ruckus, a labrador mix who arrived as the caped crusader and mini-schnauzer Pancake who ruffed it up in a flounce-and-tulle get-up.
The humans had a ruff time keeping up, but the good-spot Garlands — mom Julia, dad Will and son Simon — kept it real as a triumvirate of ghosts who weren’t faint-hearted when it came to kickin’ up their heels to a five-piece band.
Bizzy the lovely lizard proved stiff competition for the pretty pooches, enjoying the revel in the tender clutches of pals Zoe Halaczinsky and Sofia Thompson.
“We had a great turn out,” said said founder and director Sean Casey. “We got several animals adopted and we raised some much-needed funds to continue our mission.”
