Swooned

The Brooklyn Museum is almost Swoon-ed out. “Swoon: Submerged Motherlands,” the installation that has been in the gallery’s rotunda since April, is closing this weekend. The famed local street artist filled the space with a giant tree, gazebo, and boats made from salvaged refuse, so see it one last (or first) time before it sails away.

Five-minute rule

Regular live comedy show the Macaulay Culkin Show (which has nothing to do with the child star-turned-gimmick band frontman) is putting on a particularly massive line-up. Around 20 comedians and improv groups, including Jon Glaser, Dave Hill, Muderfist, and Manboobs, will each have five minutes to perform a set. Hilarity ensues.

Cast your mind back to 10 years ago (yes, it really has been that long), when Lindsay Lohan was a fresh-faced starlet, Amanda Seyfried and Rachel McAdams were relative unknowns, and fetch was yet to happen.

There will be blood tonight! Also drinking — lots of drinking. A group of actors from A Drinking Game NYC will recreate the 1987 cult classic film “The Princess Bride” live on stage, while audience members down booze when famous buzz words and phrases are uttered.
