Writers talking politics

Brooklyn College will present “Brooklyn on My Mind,” a special evening featuring prominent writers who will discuss the 2008 Presidential race, October 20 from 7-9 p.m. The event, titled “Election 2008: Left and Right,” will be held at Brooklyn College in the Whitman Auditorium, 2900 Bedford Avenue.

Panelists include Eric Alterman, Distinguished Professor of English at Brooklyn College, professor of Journalism at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, and author of “Why We’re Liberals: A Political Handbook for Post-Bush America,” and Robert A. George, an editorial writer for the “New York Post” and a conservative blogger.

The program and Q&A session will be moderated by Leonard Lopate of WNYC Radio’s “The Leonard Lopate Show.”
