Coney Island is getting schwifty!
A giant truck made to resemble Rick Sanchez from the hit television show “Rick and Morty” will make a stop in Coney Island on Sunday, selling t-shirts and trinkets from the Adult Swim sci-fi series.
The 25-foot-long Rickmobile, which depicts the super-genius, dimension-hopping, alcoholic crouching on the truck bed, will be stationed in Luna Park’s Scream Zone between W. 12th Street and Stillwell Avenues from 1 pm to 4 pm, offering fans the chance to buy exclusive T-shirts, bottle openers, kites, hats, and more.
The event will also feature activities, like Rick and Morty-related trivia and dance-offs. And according to a spokesman, any fan in costume will win a prize!
“We strongly encourage fans to dress up and will rewarded any cosplay with an exclusive Rickmobile pin,” Randall Byers said.
The visit is part of the Rickmobile’s three-month tour, making stops in more than 40 cities nationwide. While the promo truck visited Kings County once before in 2017, when it pulled up to a bar in Williamsburg, Sunday’s event marks the vehicle’s first trip to the People’s Playground.
