A criminal had up an Atlantic Avenue post office on Oct. 6.
Mail workers told police that the bandit waltzed up to the postal clerk window with a gun between Third and Fourth Avenues at 10 am and stole the postal patron’s phone and wallet, before bolting out.
Bag-snatchers bust
Police arrested two men for allegedly mugging an elderly woman on Nevins Street on Oct. 7.
The victim told police that the two suspects allegedly cornered her near Pacific Street at 10:10 pm and allegedly took her backpack before making a run for it.
Cops caught up with the two suspects near Third Avenue about half an hour later and cuffed them on felony robbery charges, according to police reports.
Screwed-up!
A gang of shoplifters threatened an employee with a screwdriver inside a Fulton Mall department store on Oct. 8.
The victim told police that the looters tried to walk out of the store between Hoyt Street and Gallatin Place just after 11 am with 19 coats, worth a total of more than $4,600, before threatening an employee with the sharp tool.
Elder abuse
A bat-wielding brute struck an elderly man on Pierrepont Street on Oct. 6.
The 65-year-old victim told police that the goon whacked him with a stick between Cadman Plaza W. and Clinton Street around 12:50 pm, before jumping into a black Mercedes and high-tailing it.
Package pirate
A sneak thief stole packages from the back of a delivery truck on Atlantic Avenue on Oct. 5.
A witness saw the mystery man take mailed goods, worth $250, from a United Parcel Service van while making deliveries at Nevins Street at 12:35 pm.
