Snake swipes bike on Hoyt Street

Bike be gone 

A criminal stole a $1,500 bike on Hoyt Street on Aug. 27.

A witness told police that they saw the pirate cut the lock of the bike with a power saw near Schermerhorn Street at around 6 pm, before wheeling the bike into a nearby subway station and disappearing.

Classy shoplifter

A thief made off with $1,395 worth of clothes from a Fulton Street Macy’s department store on Aug. 23.

An employee told police that the shoplifter grabbed the contraband from inside the store near Hoyt Street, before running off with furs, a Hugo Boss shirt, and a Nana Judy shirt. 

Wallet wanter

Some snake stole a guy’s wallet in Brooklyn Bridge Park on Aug. 28.

The victim told police that he put his wallet down to play soccer on Pier 5 at around 6 pm, but when he returned to his belongings, his wallet was gone.
