Cops cuff man for shoving senior down subway steps

Cops arrested a man for allegedly shoving a senior down a Jay Street subway staircase on Dec. 19.

The 66-year-old victim told police that the suspect allegedly pushed him down the steps at Fulton Mall around 1:30 am, while exiting the station, causing him to knock his head on the wall as he tumbled.

The victim pointed out his attacker to transit cops, who collared the man on felony assault charges, according to police reports. 

Beauty and the heist

Marauders looted a Willoughby Street beauty salon sometime between Dec. 14 and Dec. 18.

The parlor’s owners told police that the invaders busted open the door of the shop between Lawrence and Jay streets and stole irons and other styling tools, worth $2,300.

Construction criminals

Thieves raided a Fulton Mall construction site between Dec. 12 and Dec. 14.

The victims told police that the bandits cut the lock on the site near Dekalb Avenue and stole a $1,200 generator.

Caught in the act!

Police arrested a man for allegedly breaking and entering into a Livingston Street building on Dec. 15.

A security guard told police that he saw the suspect on surveillance cameras cut a lock using bolt cutters between Hanover Place and Nevins Street at around 11 pm, before breaking into a tool box and taking several pieces of hardware. 

Cops arrived on the scene just before 11:30 pm and arrested the suspect on felony burglary charges, according to police reports. 

Quick swipe

A sneak thief stole a man’s rental bike and jacket on Atlantic Avenue on Dec. 12.

The victim told police that he left his Citi Bike with his jacket unattended between Clinton and Court streets at 10:40 am, and when he came back it was gone.
