87th Street chases out traffic for summer partying

Residents of 87th Street took the command with a pinch of camaraderie when they united with neighbors for their annual block party.

Shared food and friendship was the order of the day for dwellers of the stretch between Ridge Boulevard and Colonial Road, where party games and other amusements kept youngsters entertained while grown-ups fired up the grill and prepared summer goodies for the happy hordes.
