Foul play

A South Slope man was arrested on Mar. 24 for allegedly assaulting a 57-year-old man with a baseball bat in Clinton Hill.

The victim told police that he and the suspect, 49, got into a verbal dispute at around 6:20 p.m. by the intersection of Washington Avenue and Atlantic Avenue. The cause of the dispute was not revealed by police.

According to the victim, the suspect retrieved a metal bat from his vehicle and struck him over the left forearm, causing substantial pain. Cops arrived on the scene shortly after the altercation and arrested the 49-year-old suspect.

The tooth of the matter

Cops cuffed a 49-year-old woman who allegedly stole toothpaste at knifepoint from a Walgreens store in Fort Greene.

The worker at the Clermont Avenue Walgreens reported to cops that the suspect entered the store after 11 a.m. and began removing assorted Crest toothpastes from the shelves.

The employee said the woman pulled out a knife and waved it at him as she left the store without paying for the items. Police patrolling the nearby area arrested the woman in Clinton Hill later that morning and recovered the stolen products worth $42.

Bricking it

Officers from the 88th Precinct are looking for a perp who threatened a 7-Eleven employee in Fort Greene with a brick while shoplifting an energy drink on Mar. 22.

The staff member working that afternoon at the Flatbush Avenue Extension convenience store described to police how the perp came in at 2:40 p.m. and took a can of red bull.

When the worker confronted the perp as he attempted to leave the store without paying, the man took a brick out of his coat pocket and threatened the employee with it. He was last seen fleeing towards Fulton Street.
