Record breaker
A music-loving malfeasant — who may also have a relationship with dogs! — stole a $1,000 record collection from a Leonard Street residence on Sept. 18.
The rock ’n’ rollin’ crook was not caught — and cops are eyeing the owner’s former dog walker, who had a key to the apartment, which is between Withers and Jackson streets.
A witness said he saw the dog walker in the area at the time of the crime, which took place around 3 pm.
Hacked Macs
Two laptops were stolen from a Sixth Street store sometime between Sept. 13 and Sept. 15.
An employee at the store, which is between Kent and Wythe avenues, noticed the laptops were missing when he returned that Monday at 9 am.
Sound off
Someone broke into a gated alleyway next to a church on North Henry Street and walked off with $4,350 worth of audio equipment sometime between Sept. 12 and Sept. 15.
The equipment, which included two amplifiers and five cables, was found to be missing when employees of the church, located between Herbert and Richardson streets, checked the alley at 11 am on Sept. 15.
Cool running
The summer heat apparently became too much to bear for one crook, who stole an air conditioner from a Box Street building on Sept 4.
The hot-handed criminal walked right through the front door of the building, located between Manhattan Avenue and McGuinness Boulevard, and made off with $6,463 worth of equipment.
Easy rider
Someone jacked a motorcycle, which was parked on Norman Avenue, on Sept. 20.
After his evening jog, the owner of the $35,000 chopper returned to his parking space, between Moutrie and Jewel streets, at 7 pm, only to discover that his bike had vanished.
