Police are looking for the public’s help to identify a man who allegedly exposed himself in front of a teenage girl aboard an R train in Bay Ridge last week.

On Nov. 22 at around 6:45 a.m., the 16-year-old victim was riding a southbound R train when another passenger exposed his genitals and masturbated in front of her.

The teen told police the unknown individual carried out the lewd act as the train approached the 77th Street subway station and was last seen fleeing out of the train at the 86th Street station.

The victim was not physically injured in the incident.

Cops are now asking for the public’s assistance to identify the individual who is described as a male approximately 5’10” tall with a dark complexion and an average build.
He was last seen wearing a dark colored baseball cap, black balaclava, black jacket, camouflage-colored pants, and black sneakers.

Earlier this month, police reported a similar incident in which a man exposed himself and masturbated on a Queens train in front of a teenager, and several other flashing incidents have been reported on Brooklyn trains over the last few months. So far this year, ten transit crimes and 27 non-rape sex crimes have been reported in the 68th Precinct, where the Nov. 22 incident occurred, according to the latest NYPD statistics.

Anyone with information in regard to the Nov. 22 incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website.
