Booze-fueled classes in Brooklyn

Drink it in!

Once an endeavor unto itself, boozing has permeated practically every recreational activity the borough has to offer. In the spirit of Booze Violin classes, we have ordered up a round of other classes where you can soak up more than knowledge.

Saucy sketching

Booze and visual arts go together like red and green — just ask Jackson Pollock — and the Brooklyn Society of Draftsmen brings draft table to drought house every Saturday in Williamsburg. Learn the secret to perfect proportions at drawing sessions that combine live models and lively drinks for an afternoon of figure study and steadily declining motor skills.

“Experimental Figure Drawing” at Muchmore’s (2 Havemeyer St. at N. Ninth Street in Williamsburg, www.facebook.com/bksocietyofdraftsman). Saturdays at 2:30 pm. $10 suggested donation.

Scriveners and screwdrivers

If literature is more your bag, get half in the bag learning about the borough’s bards during a literary pub crawl through historic Brooklyn Heights. The tour promises stops at authors’ old homes and favorite watering holes.

“Literary Pub Crawl” starting at the Henry Street Ale House [62 Henry St. between Orange and Cranberry streets in Brooklyn Heights, (212) 613-5796, www.literarypubcrawl.com]. Aug. 17 and 31 at 1 pm. $20, $15 students and seniors.

Yoga on the rocks

Learn to stretch your physical and mental limits — then get tight with a double rum chaser! Bushwick’s Cobra Club is both a bar and yoga studio in one convenient location.

The Cobra Club (6 Wyckoff Ave. between Jefferson and Troutman streets in Bushwick, (917) 719–1138, www.cobraclubbk.com). Various times and prices.
