The powerful Brooklyn Heights Association finally got licked.
The association’s fourth annual dog show, held on Sunday, had executive director Judy Stanton get dog-and her fellow civic activists pick the cutest, sweetest, and most talented dogs in the neighborhood, chosen by the volume of audience applause.
“It was fabulous fun,” Stanton said, adding that about 200 people showed up at Pets Emporium on Montague Street to watch. “It’s such a dog-loving neighborhood.”
Ava Barnes, an Australian sheepdog owned by Richard Barnes, took home best in show. And victory was as sweet or savory as Barnes wanted it to be thanks to the $50 Le Pain Quotidian gift certificate he received for top prize.
Other top performers including Garcon, a black pug that won cutest outfit for a dinosaur costume and Lola, a chatty dachsund that bagged most talkative.
