The Brooklyn Nets will be taking over the City of Lights in the New Year for a series of fun fan experiences as they prepare for the 2024 NBA Paris Games.
Starting on Jan. 8 and ending on Jan. 13, the Nets will delight Parisians with several pop-up events that pay homage to their home city. With experiences ranging from an authentic New York pizza to a tribute to one of Brooklyn’s most famous musicians, the Nets are celebrating this historic game with “the best of Brooklyn.”
Leading up to their Jan. 11 game against the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Accor Arena, the team’s first event will be the official “Brooklyn Nets Pizzeria” in collaboration with local favorite food joint Sonny’s Pizza. Located at 4 and 5 Rue de la Fontaine au Roi and open from noon to 10 p.m., the pizzeria will serve up tasty slices in an exclusive one-of-a-kind pizza box designed by KidSuper.
Next a partnership between Atlantic and Rhino Records and The Notorious B.I.G. Estate, will present an orchestral tribute to the famed Brooklyn artist in a star-studded red carpet event at the Théâtre Du Châtelet. A concert symphony will perform arrangements of the rapper’s most famous tunes, as arranged by conductor Miguel Atwood-Ferguson.
Celebrities from across the globe will gather at this event to hear Biggie’s most recognizable hits from albums such as “Ready to Die,” and the diamond-certified “Life After Death.” There will also be several special guest appearances at this ticketed event by Andrew Karson, DJ Clark Kent and other big name artists to commemorate the life and legacy of one of Brooklyn’s finest.
Finally, the NBA will be hosting an immersive and interactive fan experience to celebrate the game of basketball and its connection to Paris. For this event, the Nets will host an experience to showcase the 2023-24 Brooklyn Nets City Edition Uniform.
Designed by renowned Brooklyn-based artist and Brooklyn Nets fan KAWS, the new fits will feature a unique combination of Nets branding with KAWS’ iconic early work with graffiti, paintings, and sculptures.
Free fan contests with special giveaways are now open, with unique prized ranging from tickets to the NBA Paris Game 2024, tickets to the Orchestral Tribute to the Notorious B.I.G., and an all-expenses paid trip to Brooklyn to see the Nets face Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs at Barclays Center.
