Big burglary
Two ruthless crooks stole thousands of dollars in cash and jewelry from a woman’s home on E. 29th Street on Feb. 7, cops say.
Police say the two crooks broke into the home near Voorhies Avenue at 8:50 pm. The victim came home during the robbery and when she heard voices on the second floor, she called her son, according to a police report.
Cops say the burglars stole $2,600, 29 pieces of jewelry, and a watch.
The victim said the men fled on foot down E. 28th Street.
Bad timing
A sneak stole a woman’s watches and personal documents from her home on E. 11th Street on Feb. 6.
Cops say the burglar busted into the home near Avenue Z at 10:30 pm. The crook entered through the woman’s bedroom window and stole her Social Security card, passport, and watches.
Airing dirty laundry
Two good-for-nothings stole a cash machine from a laundry station in an apartment on E. 13th Street on Feb. 3, according to authorities.
Officers say crooks stole the machine from a building near Gravesend Neck Road at 11 pm.
The thieves entered the laundry room through a rear entrance and dashed off with the machine, according to a report.
Speedy sneak
An opportunistic thief stole a woman’s car — with her keys still inside while she unloaded items — from her home on E. 29th Street on Feb. 3, according to a report.
Cops say the car crook snatched the vehicle, which had the car keys in the ignition, near Quentin Road at 12:18 pm.
Police say the thief jumped into the car while the victim was unloading items from the vehicle into her home.
Van villain
Police say a crafty crook stole a van from Quentin Road on Feb. 3.
Authorities say the good-for-nothing sped off in the vehicle, which was parked between E. Fourth and Fifth streets, sometime before 9 am.
Officers say there was no sign of broken glass or drag marks at the scene of the crime.
