It’s so mulch fun!

Brooklynites can toss their old needle-shedding tannenbaums this weekend at green spaces across the Borough of Kings during the Department of Parks and Recreation’s beloved annual tree-cycle event known as Mulchfest.

Environmentally friendly tree-lovers can either chuck their ornament-free pines into a wood-chipper and take home a fresh bag of mulch, or just drop them off so their soon-to-be-pulverized roots can be put to use nourishing trees and other plants throughout the five boroughs.

Locals can bid fir-well to their Christmas trees on Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm at more than a dozen meadows in Brooklyn.

Those still in the holiday spirit who don’t want to say wood-bye to their once-festive conifers just yet can also toss them curbside for pick-up until Jan. 13.
