Cops are still looking to identify a trio of suspects who impersonated police officers during a violent burglary in Bay Ridge earlier this year.
Authorities on Sept. 29 released surveillance footage of three hooded men wanted for breaking and entering into a home near 83rd Street and Third Avenue at about 12:30 am on June 5.
Cops say the suspects entered through an unlocked window and, once inside, identified themselves as police before assaulting two male residents, ages 36 and 83, with a flashlight.
The three men — all wearing black or blue hooded sweaters or jackets — made off with an undetermined amount of narcotics, and fled the scene in a blue four-door sedan.
In the 68th Precinct, where the June incident occurred, felony assaults and robberies are trending down year-to-date compared to 2019, according to NYPD data. Burglaries, however, are up approximately 34 percent.
