Crooked cable guy hits Brighton Beach

60th Precinct

Coney Island-Brighton Beach-Seagate

Cable crook

Cops arrested a Cablevision employee who they say rooted through a customer’s Brighton Sixth Street apartment after he showed up to install a cable box there on Nov. 29.

The tenant of the apartment between Brighton Beach Avenue and Bridgewater Court said that she saw the 25-year-old suspect going through a set of dresser drawers at 1:10 pm — and he had no business being in the room, she claimed.

Skateboard swiper

A thug wheeled off with a teen’s skateboard following a Dec. 16 skirmish on Neptune Avenue — but he didn’t enjoy his new wheels for long.

Cops put the brakes on the 20-year-old suspect who they say took the teen’s board near Brighton Fourth Street at 10:50 pm.

Mugged in elevator

Two goons attacked a man inside an elevator of a W. 35th Street building on Dec. 14, stealing his cash.

The victim said the two teenage suspects followed him into the building near Surf Avenue at 10 pm and entered the elevator with him before threatening him.

“You got any money?” one of the suspects asked. “You better give us some money or you’re gonna get f—ked up.”

He said the two suspects then punched him and ran off with his cash — only to be arrested by police a short time later.

Beaten on W. 24th Street

A 25-year-old allegedly attacked a man on W. 24th Street on Dec. 16, leaving him with a smattering of injuries.

The victim was between Neptune and Surf avenues at 11:50 pm when he got into an argument with the suspect, who let his hands do the talking.

Witnesses called 911, who arrested the 25-year-old a short time later, charging him with assault.

Busted for DWI

Cops arrested a 24-year-old who they say was driving drunk along Shore Parkway on Dec. 17.

The motorist was seen behind the wheel of a weaving 2005 Dodge Caravan near Hubbard Place just after 4 am. When cops pulled the motorist over, he scored a .092 percent on a Breathalyzer test — the equivalent of a 120-pound man having three drinks.
