NYPD officers investigate a shooting at a gas station on East 59th Street and Flatlands Avenue on Thursday, March 6. A 28-year-old man was shot in the back and remains in critical condition at Brookdale Hospital.
Brooklyn South detectives and officers from the 63rd Precinct are searching for a suspect in a shooting that left a man critically injured Thursday.
Officers responded around 4:54 p.m. to a gas station at East 59th Street and Flatlands Avenue, where they found a 28-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the back. Paramedics took him to Brookdale Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

Emergency Service Unit officers taped off a Mercedes-Benz while searching for evidence. No arrests have been made, and the motive remains unknown.
