You’d be hard-pressed to find vintage couture, hardware, maternity clothes, comics, vegan food, fancy restaurants, yoga and athletic wear, and even sex toys all on one block — unless you happened to be on Bergen Street between Fifth and Flatbush avenues, where the end-of-summer crowd experienced the best of Park Slope at the first Bergen Lot Party.
The weekend showcase — presented by Melt restaurant, whose chef Mark Simmons was once on “Top Chef”! — drew visitors to one of Brooklyn’s quirkiest, most closely knit commercial corridors.
Visitors certainly took their cue to glorify the moment with sweethearts Robert and Diane Montemarano dancing in the streets while karoake singer Josh Gibson exercised his vocals to the aroma of vegan muffins, and other tastebud-tinglers supplied by Melt, Bark and Sun in Bloom.
Mom, dad and the kids got their groove on at a family concert with City Stomp, co-sponsored by Bump Brooklyn and A Child Grows in Brooklyn, and Denim and Chrome were scene-steelers with a bike show and pin-up girl contest.
DJ Derek Beres and Fresh Daily pumped up the volume while adults got to test their sex smarts — sorry, fellas, but you’re better at finding a G train than a G spot — at a trivia table set by Babeland, which rewarded winners with a handy little vibrator called the Silver Bullet.
“We were impressed at how many women knew where their G-spot was,” quipped store manager Nic Rathert.
For contestants who preferred to channel their inner Bill Clinton, hand-rolled cigars at Private Stock tipped the fun.
And shutterbug Alex Brown, whose work has been featured in major publications, gave would-be models a five-minute photo shoot.
The block party raised moolah for the Center For Anti-Violence Education.
