Dozens of Brooklyn children, from grades K-5, joined local artists to showcase their artistic talents during an arts festival at the Beginning with Children Charter School (BwCCS) in Brooklyn. The charter school’s arts festival allowed students the opportunity to interact with art professionals as well as show off their own talents.
“This is part and parcel of our vision of richness in education, an essential component along with rigor and results,” said Beginning with Children Foundation Executive Director John K. DiPaolo. “[A]rt provides boundless opportunities to [children to] express themselves as individuals, and exciting career options as well.”
The two day festival, highlighting the school’s long-held commitment to involving the community in its rich arts curriculum, was held at the Beginning with Children Charter School Lower School Campus, 11 Bartlett Street in Williamsburg.
