Headlock hooligan

A beefy thug robbed a 23-year-old on Aug. 13 as the two locked horns at the corner of Lincoln Place and Washington Avenue.

The victim told police he was nearing the corner at 8 pm when the suspect grabbed him, put him in a headlock and forced him to give up his iPod, credit cards, cash and cellphone.

Restaurant rip

A sneak crept into a Vanderbilt Avenue restaurant on Aug. 12, taking a safe containing $400.

Workers at Maya Taqueria between St. Marks Avenue and Prospect Place said several people were in the eatery at 8:15 am when the thief entered, peered behind the counter and ran off with the apparently lightweight money holder.

Up in smoke

Six people between the ages of 35 and 68 were arrested for buying drugs at the corner of St. Johns Place and Classon Avenue on Aug. 13 — but their dealer managed to get away.

Police said the suspects, four men and a woman, had engaged in “hand to hand” buys at the corner between 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm.

An NYPD team rounded all of them up after their purchases, but when the officers went to grab the dealer, he had already moved on.
