A brute slashed a man’s neck with a boxcutter on Surf Avenue on July 29.

The victim told police he was near W. 23rd Street at 6:25 pm when the lout, whom he had never seen before, started an argument that escalated with the lout cutting the man. The victim was treated at Coney Island Hospital for a laceration to the neck.

Store strike

Two ruffians beat a Neptune Avenue store employee with a broomstick and cane on July 31.

The man and woman struck the victim on the body, causing abrasion and swelling, following an argument over continued harassment at the store near W. 36th Street at 11:10 pm, the victim told the authorities.

Government theft

A thief broke into a government-owned vehicle and stole a laptop and a drill set on W. Brighton Avenue on July 29.

The unknown looter broke into the front passenger side window of the car parked near W. Third Street at 2 pm and snatched a New York State Department of Transport Hewlett Packard laptop and a Bosch drill set, according to cops.

Nap trap!

A sneak stole a man’s phone after he nodded off on the Q train near Ocean Parkway on July 29.

The victim told police he boarded the train at Atlantic Avenue, heading for Avenue M. He was woken up by a stranger at Ocean Parkway and Brighton Beach Avenue station at 3 am and noticed his black Apple iPhone 7 Plus was missing from his shirt pocket, cops said.

The 29-year-old man told cops he had been drinking prior to getting on the train, according to authorities.

The iThief

A purloiner stole two phones from a storage kiosk at an amusement park ride on Surf Avenue on July 30.

The two owners of the phones told cops that the unknown sneak stole their black iPhone 7 Plus and rose gold iPhone 7 Plus while they were on an amusement ride at 8:15 pm.
