James Madison H.S. has been dominating Brooklyn softball, with its lone loss so far in the season against Staten Island’s Tottenville.
The team was in full form in a recent game against Grand Street Campus, which the Lady Knights won 17-0 after the mercy rule was invoked after the fourth inning.
Madison Pitcher Marie Oneto pitched a one hitter in the 17-0 win. Other standout performances came from Natasha Lezama, who was hitting 625 in the beginning of the season, Danielle Brovakos, who was hitting 818, and Maria Mantagas, who was hitting 900 and was 9 for 10 with 11 RBI and 2 home runs.
