Botched blazing

A man threatened a woman with a gun, threw her to the ground, and robbed her inside a Batchelder Street building on Sept. 1.

The woman told police that she arranged to meet a stranger on social media at his apartment in the housing complex near Avenue W at 11:30 pm to smoke marijuana.

The victim walked with the suspect to the stairwell of the building, where the man allegedly presented a black firearm, cops said.

A struggle between the two ensued and the woman was thrown to the floor and suffered minor injuries to her nose and a busted lip. The man then took an envelope containing $2,000 from the victim’s pocketbook and fled on foot out of the building, cops said.

Scared off

Two would-be crooks broke into a man’s home on Avenue S on Sept. 1.

The victim told police he was sleeping in his home near E. 18th Street at 1:20 pm when he heard noise in the kitchen, and came down to find the two bozos inside his apartment, with one holding a screwdriver. The intruders damaged the man’s door upon breaking in, but fled the scene without taking anything, according to cops.

Double burglary

Someone looted tools from two construction sites on Coney Island Avenue between Aug. 27 and 28.

• An employee at a construction site near Avenue T told cops that he noticed workers’ tool boxes had been broken into, and thieves had stolen a drill, a grinder, cordless lights, an electrical meter and a heat gun sometime between 2:30 pm on Aug. 27 and 6:15 am on Aug. 28.

• A superintendent at the second site near Avenue P told police he was the last person on the premises before locking the gates and leaving at approximately 5:30 pm on Aug. 27. When he returned at 5:30 am the next day, his front lock had been tampered with and the other door to the site had been forced by a crowbar. Multiple tool boxes and doors to offices were broken into, and a hammer drill, drill, screw gun, as well as chargers and batteries were missing, according to cops.
